If you have read Step 8 – Social Media Sites, you will already be fully aware of how important it is to the online marketing efforts for your business… especially establishing Brand Awareness.

In step 8, I focused on Facebook, explaining how to create a personal profile, and Fan Page for your business. If you are not a HTML expert, and you want your fan page to look professional (and be effective), make sure you sign up for the ‘Fanpage Engine’ service.

I have gone into plenty of detail about the ‘Fanpage Engine’ service in my ‘Social Media Resources’ article.

Two other invaluable services I strongly advise you to make use of are ‘Twitter’ and ‘Sokule’. Twitter is the better known of the two services, but Sokule is designed purely for businesses, and can be monetized.

They both work the same way, and if you have an account with both services, you only have to post your messages on Sokule, as it can be set up to post your messages automatically on Twitter. You can also set Twitter up to show your Tweets (messages) on your Facebook wall.

How Kule is that?

Twitter is a great resource that allows businesses stay connected to their customers. You can quickly share information with people interested in your business, and build relationships with your customers.

Individual users can use Twitter to tell a company (or anyone else) that you’ve had a great (or ‘not so great) experience with a particular business, offer product ideas, suggestions and feedback, and learn about great offers being made by their favourite companies.

If your competitors aren’t already using Twitter (and Sokule) you can be sure that they will catch on soon… So make sure you act now, and get the jump on them before they do  it to you!
